The results will show you an amortization table of your payments.

A mortgage amortization table is the gradual elimination of a liability, such as a mortgage, in regular payments over a specified period of time usually months. Such payments are sufficient to cover both principal and interest. Loan amortization schedules can help you see if you can afford the monthly payments and also shows you how much of your payment goes to the bank.

Using a mortgage amortization chart and loan amortization calculators should be your first step in purchasing real estate.
